An evening session on improving image quality in radiography and what to do when it all goes wrong.

Including hints and tips to help prevent some of the most common image quality issues. Using a selection of example images and how to improve them

Critical Care Nutrition 26th April

The evening will look at how a patient’s nutritional status can easily be overlooked

when hospitalised and discuss why nutrition plays such a vital part in ensuring the best outcome for the patient. We will look at hospital feeding protocols, methods of feeding, hints and tips on how to tempt reluctant patients and an in depth look at diets will also be included.

Conception to Parturition 26th September

This evening course will looking at cases of miss-matings, leading through to pregnancy and when owners need to contact the practice for assistance during whelping or kittening.

We will look at causes of dystocia, caesarean sections as well as anaesthesia analgesia and peri-operative care for these cases.

Therapeutic Massage and Acupuncture 14th November

 

Becky Underhill RVN ITEC Dip and Emma Ivey BVSc MRCVS

 

A discussion how massage can be incorporated into general practice including the science – how it works, what the nurse can do and how to teach owners.

We will cover the senior patient, the recumbent patient, technique selection and when massage isn’t appropriate.

 

In addition there will also be a discussion on uses of veterinary acupuncture

for common conditions
